I should be sleeping!

As I write this, I have exactly 4 hours until I have to be up. Kristen and I are recuiting for Truett in Marshall, Texas at ETBU tommorow and we are leaving at 4 o'clock AM!! This is crazy!! Needless to say, I'm wondering if I should even try to sleep! I'm a little keyed-up. Jennifer and I went to see the Vagina Monologues tonight. It was great fun. I was red-faced all night, but it was a good laugh. I have never heard someone speak so frankly about their va-jay-jay! It was great; funny and great! There were a lot of Truett people there last night which made it even better! There were even guys there; they wanted to leave, but they were there! I never knew that there was so much you could talk about within one body part. The "actors" were great. There were a few that I knew from school, which kind of made it more weird. I remember hearing about the acts when they were in New York and all the rise that came off of it there. But the show tonight was to raise money for the violence center so it was a good cause and good entertainment.

I'm glad that I got to experience something like that. Isn't that what college and graduate school is all about? Going out and doing things for the first time and have a good time doing it? I know given the context that I am blogging tonight, I can only guess what you think I am talking about, but I'm not. I'm talking about taking risks and living a little. Yeah, there was plenty of studying that I could have been doing tonight, but instead, I chose to be uncomfortable for an evening. I know this is minor for some people, but for my type A personality, this was good. I needed this. Today was a crazy day and I needed to sit back and laugh for a few hours and nothing will get you laughing like Vagina Monologues! The deeper the semester goes, the harder it is for friends to find time to get together to laugh and play. I so treasure the time that I get to spend talking and laughing with friends.

Spring break is coming and hopefully I can catch up on the sleep that will be missed tonight then. I'm actually pretty excited about having a few days off. I'm looking forward to sleeping late and watching television at night! This is going to be a good week!
