August already?

It's been a crazy past couple of weeks. Sorry for not posting but it all seemed to happen so fast that it was hard to think about posting in the midst of everything. Three weeks ago today, my grandmother passed away. She lived a great life and was a well-respected woman. I count it all privilege to call her my grandmother. A last week, I was in Missouri with my parents trying to get in some R & R before classes start back up in two weeks. And amazingly, the kids have waited until now to go completely bonkers at camp. It's been wild.

But to digress, I cannot believe that it's time to start school again! This is my last fall semester in school. JD keeps saying I'll go back for my Ph.D, but I have to laugh at him when he says it! I can't imagine that right now, but who knows.....

I think I've found a job next year - it took me a while to decide if I even wanted the job, but it's turned out to be the right thing. You see, they offered me the job without my pursuit, they gave me time to decide, and here we are. I spent a lot of time thinking, praying, and weighing the pros and cons. Now, I am in the middle of the interview process, etc. I'll take prayers if you think about it!

Other than these things, I am most grateful for the summer. I am thankful for the wonderful friends that I have formed relationships with. It's been a great summer - one full of rest and excitement and new beginnings. Who could ask for more??
