Yes, it's been a while

Let me begin by saying how terribly sorry I am to keep the three readers of this blog waiting so long for a post! Life has been a little crazy lately, but things are finally slowing down just in time for the holidays. Classes are over for the semester and I am thrilled. This semester was tough, just being back at Truett and having to use a different way of thinking than Social Work. However, I had a great semester and I'm looking forward to my last semester in school! Honestly, it's been a quick journey and I'm so grateful for friends that have supported me through all of it.

It's two weeks until Christmas so the shelter is in full Christmas swing! Children's groups at night are going well and are filled with ornaments, cookie decorating, and other various Christmas activities. Last week, we took some of the children to see a Christmas Carol at the theater here in town and they loved it! It was great to see the excitement in their eyes. With that, I truly love my job! I feel like this is a great place for me to be and I'm fitting in well.

I'm excited about going home for a few days at Christmas. It should be great! But in the mean time, I'm working as much as possible!
