Free at last....for the time being

"Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, I'm free at last!" In the great words of Martin Luther King, Jr., thank God, I'm free (at least until May 29!) The semester is officially over for me today. I finish with my last exam about 6:30 tonight. Only at Truett will your professor buy your class pizza after the final. Dr. Lefever bought pizza and we're all munching down tonight after a quick dicussion for the final. How great is that? It just doesn't feel real yet; the fact that I've completed one year of seminary and grad school completely blows my mind! Only three more to go!

It's been a whirlwind of a year, as you can read from the previous posts. There have been ups and downs and side to sides. But all in all, I'm so lucky to be here and I'm so lucky to have such an amazing place to fall on when things are tough and to celebrate with when things are on high.

Am I proud of myself? You bet! If you would have asked me just 5 years ago if I would be in graduate school, much less seminary, I would have said to you that you were crazy and there was no way! But I've done it and I think I've done it well. Ok, that's enough bragging!

So here are some goals and activities for this summer:
1. Read 5 "fun" books that don't include textbooks
2. Take a trip with friends
3. Train Sophie in obedience
4. Visit Branson with the family
5. Work, work, work and save, save, save!
