Update 10.20.08

The internship process is moving along now. I'm working on my research project and looking foward to moving that forward. Fall has finally arrived here in Texas and it's wonderful. I've been sleeping with my windows open at night. Funny story - this weekend a skunk died outside my window and the whole apartment smelled like skunk - it was HORRIBLE!!! But I digress.....

School is going well. Last week was mid-terms and I can't believe that the semester is almost over. It has definitely flown by.

JD had two interviews at Baylor last week. Hopefully, one of the jobs will come through this week. He's been pretty patient so far with the job situation but it's becoming a serious issues - at least from what he tells me. I know that he would appreciate your prayers and thoughts this week as he waits "the call" to hear if he has a job.

Calvary, the church where I work, is really struggling right now - financially and emotionally. There are serious cuts being made with the staff and lots of hurt people and families. I wonder what the church will look like in April when I return to Waco.

Mom and dad are coming to Waco the end of this month and I'm pretty excited to see them. It's been a few months since I've been home and I'm looking forward to relaxing with them for a few days.

All in all, things are going pretty good!
