Valentine's Day

So, don't laugh or judge me, but this Valentine's Day was the first for me to celebrate it with the "special someone" in my life and it was great! After a couple of days back in Waco for a conference (thank you School of Social Work), JD came to El Dorado to spend Valentine's Day with me.

On the scale of awesome days, our's wasn't that spectacular, but it was for us. It had been almost three months since we had seen each other, so simply watching TV was great. We went to see a movie and then had a wonderful evening out on the town (if you're from El Dorado, you'll also find the humor in that statement!).

It was a great weekend, and for once I was not the cynical person on Valentine's Day just wishing it was all over. I loved the fact that I was at Hallmark buying a card, albeit the last minute, and I love eating out with other lovers that night. I'm an idiot, I know, but it was great.

I have to say that now that JD and I have had about a week together again, it has made me miss Waco and my life there so much more! I can't wait until I can be with him all day on the weekends and evenings instead of via phone calls and facebook chat.

I'm not rubbing it in, I'm simply reveling in the fact that finally life has caught up with me!!
