First day...errr..oh wait!

Yep, today was the first day of class and for the first time in 4 years, my butt was not in a seat today! It's is a surreal experience. This morning, I got up and went to work like all the other adults in Waco and around the world. I didn't have to worry about buying books, finding a parking spot or even time management. I simply went to work.

Now, I must admit that I spent the day at a Grant Writing workshop. So technically, I was in class.

Either way, it was a great yet sad feeling. I love sitting in the classroom and being challenged beyond my perfect little box. It's refreshing and stretching all at the same time. Maybe I'll be back in school again, but for now, I'm pretty happy right where I am at.

Things have been changing lately at the Family Abuse Center. I've taken on the additional responsibility of the Information Technology in addition to my Volunteer Coordinator and Community Educator role. It's been interesting so far. At least I haven't broken anything yet!

Other than that, wedding plans are coming along. We finished registering a couple of weeks ago and we booked the Little Rock String Quartet a few weeks ago. So exciting! They will plan during the ceremony as well as a little during the reception. I think it'll be wonderful! My dress is scheduled to ship on October 14th, so needless to say, I am counting the days until then.

I'm not sure there is anything else worth writing.

Until then....
