Wedding Update

A lot has happened in the wedding planning. Labor day weekend was a great weekend for wedding planning. JD and I went home to Arkansas and planned meetings for Friday and Saturday. Friday I went to Magnolia and got my "har did" with new red highlights! It's so funky for the Fall. I love it! I also spoke with my hair dresser about make-up and hair for me and the bridal party. After that, I went and met with the photographer (see her website here), who was also in Magnolia. She was great! She is young and seems to have a great understanding of what we wanted in our wedding photos. I'm super excited! I think we'll have our engagement photos in late October and my bridal portraits in December. Then on Saturday we met with the cake baker (very interesting after story - call me about this...) and caterer in Hot Springs and the florist in Little Rock. The best part of the day was meeting with the florist! We are using Tipton and Hurst AND the flowers will be AMAZING! I cannot wait to see these beautiful flowers! But, come to find out, I need to find another cake baker so it looks like JD and I will be making another flying trip back to Arkansas on Saturday.

Work has been going well, but I'm tired. I've been working a lot of Saturday's lately, but I love the flexibility that I can leave the office early during the week. I was sick with a cold this week so I didn't get near the amount of work done that needed to be done. I'm working on planning our annual Day of Remembrance celebration for October. It's busy, but I still love my job! JD and I are both working a lot so we can save our extra time for the honeymoon. We've been talking and planning and we are both getting really excited! We are going somewhere that we have both never been and we are looking forward to the vacation. It's going to be great! 195 days until I become Leslie Blake Windham!
