Well, it's almost Christmas time and you know what that means. The semester is almost over and it seems like just yesterday (okay about a month ago) school started and I was so excited about the new semester. While I'm still excited about the new semester, things are changing all over again. On Monday, I'll wrap up my last semester of class as an MSW student here at Baylor. In the midst of papers and projects, I've had a little time to sit and reflect on the wonder that is my life. I've met great people this year in the program - people that I want to know the rest of my life! Classes were tough, but I cannot honestly think of anywhere else I would want to be right now! I love everything about my life right now.
In January, I'll be an intern at Togther for Hope ministries with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. I'm very excited about this opportunity and I'm looking forward to a new area of learning. I'm hoping to get my research published. The faculty at the school are all excited about what I'm doing and that's contagious to me. Publishing would be great and I'm doing all I can to make that happen. I got word this week that my application for a Church Social Work specialization was approved. That's just another notch in the belt of adulthood. Hopefully, it'll help me get a job someday after graduation!!
So, as I prepare for a new town with new people, pray that God gives me his strength and his heart.
