I'm not sure why, maybe it's the new blog layout, but I'm in the mood to write.
Today has been an interesting day, to say the least. The day started out pretty normal, then around 4:00 I got a really tough hotline call - and when I say tough call, I don't necessarily mean the situation was bad, but the caller was "different". We talked for almost two hours and we still couldn't come to any ending. It wears on you, you know? Needless to say, I was exhausted afterwards.
Then JD and I went on our nightly walk around the Baylor campus and we came across a dog that had died ON CAMPUS! It was horrible. There was another dog there laying by the dog, his friend. He was so sad. Makes me thankful for my wonderful dogs!
It's just been one of those days. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Oh my gosh! It definitely was a rough day for you. Pretty often I see dead dogs on the interstate when driving to/from work, but when there's a doggy friend standing by the buddy I just bawl. It breaks my heart. I want to stop and take the friend home. So weird that it was in the middle of campus, though!
