Week 3

Another update...

The internship is going really well. I'm really enjoying my placement and I truly believe that it is the right place for me. I've been given the freedom to use my education while still practicing and learning skills. The people are great and the experience is just what I needed at this time in my life.

School's been good - busy but good. Even today, my thinking was stretched. I realized that I'm probably more conservative than I thought. But what truly was a difficult pill to swallow was that I could possibly still have a racist tendancy. No, I don't want to join a white-cape wearing club, but I realized today that I have a prejudiced view of minorities. I thought I had moved past that place in my life, especially with my education, however, during discussion today, I realized that it's still rearing it's ugly head. What does that mean? I'm not sure. I know that I've got to work 10 times harder than someone else to overcome this but I definitely feel like less of a person because of this.

I moved into my new apartment on Saturday. It's a great place that I love. The complex is great and the apartment is 10 times better than what I had before. Sophie loves all the room and she loves the new patio. But the biggest point is that it is exactly 2 minutes from campus! Holla!!!! I'm excited about living here for the next two years.
